Probably a time for a bit of introspection when even the moderator thinks you're a tool

It's all well and good that Crinkles is happy at what he does. There is certainly no harm in that so good luck to him. Posting news articles is not wrong either - people have done it before and will continue to do so - although the initial 777 article he posted was pretty stupid and irrelevant considering it's so old. I guess one positive factor from the posts is that at least Emirates is expanding, not downsizing, and it's nice to work for an airine in this situation.
Of course the other side of the coin is that so many aircraft need so many pilots to fly them. Kudos to EK for investing in the machinery and equipment but poor show for the lack of similar investment in its staff. Now Crinkle may say that the conditions of employment are not bad at all etc etc. - but the issue now is the fact that we are unable to find enough suitable pilots to man the ships. And only better working conditions will change that. I can only guess that Crinkles has been here a short time - I have been much longer, almost 10 years, and have seen T+Cs slide downhill, especially since CK showed up a few years back.
Furthermore, a lot of the coments in reponse have just been childish and directly from the gutter, which places in question the entire credibility of this Middle-East Forum
Crinkles, everybody has a right to post here. If anything your posting 2- year old news does far more to discredit the forum.
As regards to your comments on 4HP, he is the moderator and he can do what he likes. It's his party. Just like your sort tell the whiners - if you don't like it, just leave.

That's twice now you have insulted me on this public forum 4hole-poler.
Not his fault if you're a slow-learner the first time around.

The power that EK pays for is still on and it is keeping my beers cold
You and Capt. America knocking back a few cold ones - sounds like a blast!

Keep it coming Crinkelstein, very entertaining! Hey how'd you get a job at EK with a name like that, anyway????

I'm human Crinkelstein - sometimes I make a mistake. Or two. But if I'm wrong, I historically have the nuts to say, "I'm sorry, I was wrong."

I think you're a dweeb. And that's my moderate evaluation. Yes, moderators have opinions. Maybe I'm wrong. But I doubt it.

Get a life & stop digging up two-year old crud.

If you wish to continue this diatribe send me a PM; the folk don't want to be bothered with this tripe. And please feel free to continue to criticize both my moderation as well as my rugby team.

Forum rules reminder

Just a friendly reminder before I take this to a higher authority.

The PPRuNe Forums are a place where it's okay to be yourself as long as you always act with respect for your fellow members as well as PPRuNe staff. Our goal will be to treat our members as we would wish to be treated. In return, we ask that you act here as you would if you were face to face with the other members. You are not expected to leave your personality at the door. There are going to be topics and discussions that will have heated debates. Please think before you post and re-read what you type before you post it. Keep your comments limited to the debate at hand and do not make this a personal issue between you and another member.

Lets see if I comprehend what's going on...so Crinkle is called a dweeb on a public forum, gets his knickers all in a twist and is seeking a higher authority. You poor little boy, better run off to Mummy then... never mind them son, they are bound to fail their psycho evaluations and you'll be richly rewarded for your sterling HR work.

This is getting too personal and vindictive.

We've all got our views on these things but the one thing I do at least agree with Crinkley on is that it should not become personal and bitty. He loves the Company and wants to show it that's his perogative! The rest of us will just try and fill in the blanks (for example the beer in Dubai is like camel's excretement).

These forums are often read by pax who wished they had an office at 35,000 feet and fresh CPL and IR wannabees. This thread is starting to look like a 10 year old school boy fight (my dad's got a bigger one than yours stuff) and doesn't exactly show of the best of the profession.

My two pathetic little fils worth!

Crincel,
I have seen lots of guys like you in my 12 years in EK, but where are they now?
They have been bypassed, shafted or axed by freddie kruger, lets see in 3 years when you demand your upgrade.

As I said before I think you are an idiot with no life who probably fits in the EK reporting culture, but please don't take it to higher authority because I mean it in the most respectful way.

Crinks,
I'm certainly not here to insult you as I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, that notwithstanding, there is an old adage, 'When you're in a hole, stop digging'! It's one of those universal truths that is probably applicable to the situation that you now find yourself in.

Let's see, Crink has been called "brainwashed, an idiot, a dork, a tool, a slow learner, and dweeb". I am truly beginning to wonder about the maturity and intelligence of the EK pilot group. C'mon guys, having some pride in the company he works for generates name calling? Disagree all you want with his assesment of the company and make arguements on why he is wrong in his assesment. Outsiders must have a really high opinion of the EK pilot group from this thread. (but the purse is funny)
