Anyone done the Lasik surgery and know the GCAA procedures in Dubai?

I had lasik surgery and the GCAA requirement is 3 months off work if I remember correctly.

How did you manage the time off?

I had the lasik done before I moved to Dubai (1 month before)
When I did my medical I was told by Dr Akel that I was not allowed to work for 3 months from surgery date. Work kept me busy with admin, ect. They were not very happy, but what could they do? I did not know about this rule when I had my lasik done.
They would not have known about the lasik if I hadn't mentioned it during my medical. Stupid me........

Yeah it's 3 months post-op, although not so sure they could tell if you don't tell them. To be honest, my vision seemed completely stable after 2 weeks and probably even sharper than it was when I wore contacts, but guess they are concerned it can still fluctuate for the first few months..

Got the info.

Must get a report from your specialist not earlier than 28days post-op. This then has to be taken to EK clinic Dr. for review.
