It was announced at some stage the GT brand would cease to exist and be all GF again...remember it was spun off 4 yrs ago yesterday as a matter of coincidence...as one of the GT "volunteers" who at this date commenced GT flying, I saw an apparently successful operation, as the load factors were high, and the scheduling and connections seemed to work very well at AUH...too bad politics and other factors caused it to disappear..the 767 was well suited for this operation, and now other airlines are capitalizing on this market created by GT...and a super paint job to boot...much prettier than the "golden condom" IMHO..."snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" comes to mind...

You've certainly read several posts from the great kissbutt757 but have you ever seen him landing an actual airplane? Here is a picture :
http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0784166/M/
He cannot deny he was not in the airplane since I double checked the date with our AIMS system but he blames the screwed up landing on his FO. Nice picture anyway.
Thanks for the cider and Wang Thai food tuk tuk driver.
Frenchie

PS I made it home safely by closing one eye at a time...

When did this happen?
As a guess:
  • When it was decided that GF will become a solo BAH operation
  • When it was decided that the 67's would be phased out

Yo767--So you've never had an FO dick up a landing? You've never done it yourself?

I'm in awe... TC

AA717, I do it all the time. That is probably the reason why half of the fleet is still grounded...

They had the phasing out of the B767 pretty much right. The A321s were only a year out. Not bad.

They thought of bringing them back but they won't, Capt Hair Y Crotch. You seem to enjoy busting bubbles. Mine ain't nowhere being busted.
