QR interested in PIA?
Rumored that Qatar Airways are in talks with the airline and the govt. for 49%stake, last month QR's A310 from the royal fleet was gifted to Pakistan, so thats added to the rumors.

Some years back, they were also linked to a deal to take over Biman too.
So far, we have had QR linked with stakes in PIA, Biman and Condor. (I am sure it was Condor, or was it LTU?? Anyway, one of the German carriers).
Can't imagine anything coming of the PIA rumours to be honest.

It seems they are now setting up an airline in Pakistan and have been given permission by Pakistan government to do so, also have taken stake in a PIA maintenace facilities/hangar and eventually will take over PIA too.
