Hola Cameltoe

Don't know of one in the UAE, however have you tried Transair Pilot Shop in the UK? I have had a few items shipped to the Gulf by them before, no complaints yet.
Hope this helps.

Muchas gracias for the tip, amigo! But this leaves me even more wondering, how come nobody is setting up shop around here in Dubai?

Hmmm...time to hone my entrepreneur skills, eh? Maybe I should put up one in Deira City Center. Whatcha think? Are you guys gonna come to my shop?

Cameltoe

I think its because all the pilots are too busy reading books about real estate or investing or running a business. Nobody gives a toss about aeroplanes.

Uhm, yeah right. On second thought, maybe I should just set up a mag store selling FHM, Maxim and the likes. Just the other day I was in Magrudy's. FHM cover for apr is Carmen Elektra. Oh lala!

cameltoe,

Sure I will visit your shop...if you'll give me discount

Did you check jepessen's website? I think they have an authorized dealer here in UAE, I just don't know where or if they have one.

Try this new shop in bangkok opened by a thaiairways pilot.Transair is a ripoff for the same exact price in pounds you get it in dollars at sportys.

It's located on 2nd floor of Amarin Plaza 496-505 Ploenchit Road close to the Chit Lom BTS station. try www.aeroshopbkk.com

Or call +66 (0) 2256 9786

hey cameltoe, you are right... it is a gay bar BUT only in the police academy movies from the 80's. If you've watched 'em, you'll know what Im talking about.

Gay bars ain't my thing but they always have great music...its fun to stay at the Y.........

anyway Umm al quwain aero club has somewhat limited pilot store, logbooks, aviation info books, knee boards, maybe helpful.

good luck

Last time I checked, it was Emirates Aviation Services at Dubai Intl. Airport... They had all the books,charts,etc..

Books

Surprisingly, branches of Choithrams supermarkets randomnly stock copies of Aircraft Illustrated, Flight International, Airliner World and Aviation News.

Try, especially, the branches at Garhoud (behind Le Meridien hotel, near the airport) and - rather far away but most likely - Choithrams at the Green Community, Dubai Investments Park (next door to the Courtyard by Marriot lodge).

Good luck.
