Oman to withdrow from Gulfair and expand Omanair

How about this ....
Omanair is to lease shortly a B777 - came from a someone who monitors engineering spares across the globe.
Plan is for autumn with flying on India and then later London.
Also rumours in the Pink Palace that with all the problems GF is having with their B767, the timing could be right to tell Oman where to go
.
This is before they order new planes and give Oman their own engineering base.

We wish Oman all the success.The fact is that the Bahrain government asked Oman to sell its share to the Kingdom,so Bahrain takes over the airline.
Bahrain big mistake was in 1974 when invited UAE,OMAN and QATAR to have share in the airline.
However Bahrain is ready to have an airline with 50 aircraft,once it own it.Bahrain has the finance,the manpower,the facilities,others will need ages to have their national managing their airlines.
Look at QR,EK,EY how many of their nationals working in the airlines?500 in each out of 5000 7000 employee not even 10%,,,

Couldn't agree with you more.
1. Best thing if Oman pulled out of GF - cut down the politics somewhat!!!!!
2. VPO should be made to fall on his sword - has destroyed the Ops Dept over the last 5 years. (Should have been sacked after the 320 accident in 2000 when he was Chief Pilot)
