A little birdie said it is Qatar Airways 10th anniversary. Is this true? Could be a good time for a new broom to sweep clean and introduce that promised payrise ......

13th year in operation totally - 10th anniversary since the relaunch and the use of the current burgundy/grey/oryx branding and 10th anniversary of AAB at the helm.
The original three Airbus A300's that made up the relaunched Qatar fleet are still around today - A7-ABN, ABO and AFA. (AFA used to be registered ABP and affectionately known as "Papa", being the only two class aircraft at the time).
The fleet in 1997 was supplemented by four Boeing 727-200ADV's. being CD,E, F, and G if I remember correctly.
So, from a fleet of only seven aircraft and a few hundred cabin crew, the company has expanded dramatically since then.
What amazes me is that the management infrastructure hasn't changed to support the expansion!!!!
