Question UAE Rents (Again!)

I know it's been done before (I did a search!), but I am thinking of moving our business from KSA to the Dubai region, and trying to work out my budgets.

Here in KSA, I'm living in a small 2-bed villa in a compound way out of town, and paying around SR50K (=Dhs 50k) a year (stop laughing!). It's definitely not "the lap of luxury", but it's fine for me.

Ideally I'd like to do something similar around Dubai. Most of my work (in "landscaping") will be to the South of the city, so somewhere out around Jebel Ali would be just fine (company pays petrol bills anyway ) Doesn't have to be especially modern either, as long as it's clean and easy to keep that way. One bed or two (but a study as well preferred if only one bed - I collect junk!)

I do recall seeing a compound just to the East of the Dubai to Abu-Dhabi road, some where near Jebel when I was there a couple of years ago.

Furnishing? - I have all my own stuff, so I'd be very happy with unfurnished.

I suppose I could settle for an apartment, but I do prefer to have a garden and a bit of space around me.

Can anyone give me some ideas on what sort of thing may be available, and how much I should budget?

(This post is probably not for pilots - you guys earn way more than me - maybe CC or Engineers might be better qualified to advise on my price-range
