Was parked beside it when it came in..

Lots of damage on both inside and outside the cowling in front of the fan, had it been a blade off it would have behind not in front of the big whirrey thing at the front.

Asked the engineer what had happened, he said they thought it had hit "something"....and whatever it had been was not a bird......

More crew removed from the roster....

maybe if a blade tip failed the airload would cause it to separate in a forward direction?? guessing here..propellor blades do the same bend/fail forward when under load
