What has happened at EK

Guys

what has happened at EK. I have been out of the loop for a while and need an update......

is it me or has the traffic started to slow down on the Shiek Zyaed rd and become a little more orderly since 11000 ...yes (eleven thousand ) fines were handed out to drivers in the last month.

and is it true that the delayed upgrade Airbus guys are all back on course as promised!!

I heard trainer Brian was on the 340...tell me that didnt happen..I guess he can fly to New York and Tarten Guy can go to Jakarta on the same day

Have 20 guys resingned and gone back to Aussie.

some one pleeeeeaaseee feeeeed meeeee....is it all true!!!!!

Traffic has not changed, just the usual summer slowdown, just wait to start of school term!!! It will be worse than it was before.......

Trainer Brian (akaTartan Guy) is on the 340.

An undisclosed number of people are off to Jet* ,figures of 5-20 are commony heard.

330 Upgrades ???? wouldnt mind knowing myself, see what August roster brings on the portal...

No upgrade courses have been cancelled, so I think there are another 10-12 to commence this year on the 330 with between 4 and 8 on each course.
2 strikes and your'e out policy has been revamped apparantly to a case by case evaluation for upgrade failures. However best not to try that one out if you can help it.

What's happening at EK?

I met a few EK pilots during interviews i did recently for a job...?
EK was a dream for me,something I thought wouldn't happen to me!!?And I am now in the queue with them to find a beter place to be.?
Of course everybody moves, want to try somethong else but I never met a pilot of Air France,BA or Lufthansa being interviewed and ready to leave their position in a Major!!!!I thought EK was a first choice, being THE airline...?

Whats happening?

I have been told that 23 pilots will leave in Sept, I know of 12 personally. Also I believe 18 ex-Delta DECs have elected not to pitch up this month despite signing the contract. I suspect that might have something to do with the goings on in South West Asia and the US market starting to head in the right direction.

Great news about those DEC's

I have heard that the US govt has changed the tax laws for expats

maybe all this trouble making old uncle George has caused that has cost the yanks toooooo much money ............I think they need to recover a few million greenbacks in overheads ....so tax the expat.

Hey ghost are the 23 all from the airbus heading back to Oz or is it a mix of Boeing and Airbus. Niether fleet can afford to loose guys.

No DEC's............As long as EK guys are being promoted its all good I say.

The J* line Captains are still waiting to hear, as they have delayed slightly their starting date (November, is the rumour). So only trainers at the moment have been offered contracts.

I suppose the 35000dhs a month that they are on just wasn't enough to cut it.In Brians case he will be able to double it so it doesn't make the pay for him to bad.
