Angry GF,Why So unproffesional???

I went through my first stage of cadet selection which i had written in August 2005, got an email on November sayin that I have been invited for the final assesment in December 2005, got an email a couple of weeks later saying that its delayed to January2006. There was nothin in January n no emails from them after that!!!!???
Y is it so unproffesional, y cant they notify the guys again if there was any furthur delay, even though it would cause alot of inconveniance.
Can anyone let me know what the hell is goin on...its been almost 6-8 months and cant they finish all this??!!!

i dont have a clue about this cadet recruitment, but please come on take a chill pill.

After all if you really think that Gulf is unprofessionnal go apply somewhere else, we dont need you! nobody is pressing you to apply to an unprofessional airline ?!

i think that calling your "maybe" next employer unprofessionnal is not a smart move.

thats my point of view.

Qatar has also a cadet scheme, apply to them, they might be "more professionnal".

you have to learn to stay cool in this business even in the worst situation. if you can not do that you might not be suitable for this job, thats it !

chill out my friend

Yeah, and while you're swallowing the chill-pill why don't you learn how to spell professional...make you look unprofessional when you spell unprofessional incorrectly

Show a little bit of initiative and pick up the phone mate - it's really not that hard.
I can guarantee you with the insight you've given us of your attitude you will not be welcome here.
Where do you get off calling GF so unprofessional? Did I read correctly you have applied to the Cadet program?
Sunshine, you have a lot to learn if you want to make it anywhere beyond phase two of Cadet Selection in this industry.
You been trying 6-8 months.... poor thing!
Adopt a slightly more relaxed approach to everything mate, ask some intelligent questions, show a little bit of initiative, decorum and respect to a Company that you're considering may be your Employer for at least the next 10 years.
There is a lot of well qualified GF personnel that would only be to happy to answer you question on this Forum. I seriously doubt you'll get anything more than continual rebuttals as long as you display such an immature, ill meaning attitude.

Again, learn to spell.

Maverick, it's not your flying it's your attitude. Yeah you hear me, it's your attitude, and learn how to spell properly.

Arrow Wannabe Cadet Blues

trekster90 ...besides your serious grammatical shortcomings, your juvenile attitude and impatience are not commensurate with airline culture. You may be well to do to seek another line of work because the airline business is all about what you are experiencing right now, and more.

Have you been brought up with this crazy idea that the world owes you something?

GF as ALL the carriers in the ME are desperate for pilots. U passed the initial, which means they are looking at you. Things change every day, and in ANY airline, don't expect an answer, unless, they really want you. If they did, they would be asking you. One thing you should never do, is run down an airline, before you even started. If thats your attitude, then, don't ever expect to come here, in the first place. It,s frustrating yes, coz you want an answer, yes, or no. Be patient. You will get it, if they want you.

Hey Trekster90,
Learn to respect urself. U just dont come here n talk all kinda bad things about the airline. As Tic said,if they need u,they would give u a buzz.
For ur info, im on the same boat as u r rite now. Im just patiently waiting n hoping for the best. U gotta change ur attitude. Even though I dont work for the airline rite now, I would not stand someone just writing all sort of unwanted comments
Try n improve ur spelling

To the GF guys

First of all i would want to make it clear that i didnt mean to express myself in a way to cause all kind of misunderstandings.
Its all bcoz im really frustrated since`
1) Ive been waiting for a real long time n this was what i always wanted to do,it was my dream to fly
2) The worse part was that they had given me a date and they did not even send me a mail mentioning the delay. i do not mind the delay, but atleast keep the candidates informed.
3) How can one prioritise his plans, whatever it may be, when he doesnt have an idea about what happening on the other side.
I just hope u guys understand how i feel, thats all.
Cheers!

What a bunch of ignorant w****rs! Honestly! You lot got nothing better to do than just dish out grief to a lad you don't even know!
Get a life, the lot of you!
Sounds like you lot need to change your attitudes and pull that stick right out because it's people like you that give this industry a bad name.
Check your own attitudes before you go around telling people about theirs.
Bunch of to**rs!
Oh oh...look at me! I can spell correctly...that means I can fly a plane...BS!
Grammar has nothing to do with flying, it may help in certain areas but don't go around telling people about it alllll day. My god it's so tedious!
good luck trek.

Hey there, Startrekster

I'm somehow puzzled. If you're a cadet, I presume that you must be local, used to the way things are done around here.

Boukra inshallah must not come to you as a shock.
So chill out; who knows, you might get lucky and parachute in a 330!!!

Hi trekster90,
As has been said before - use your initiative! Don't you have a telephone number to call - or just answer the email you got and ask what is happening and when to expect the next step. They usually know people don't just live into the day just waiting for them to call but have some other things to do as well
Just from my own experience I know sometimes to just go out and do something pays off (ok - I don't mean: complaining about the company even before you start working for them ).
As for me - I once applied for a job - got a call telling me to come to the interview on monday and I'd get an email with further instructions as to where I shall go to and when it will start. Never got the email, decided to head there anyways (that was heading from middle east to central europe!). I just went extra early to the HQ of the company. They figured out where I should go to - in a different part of town! Still got there on time though. It paid off well - I got the job
So - before you keep getting upset - do something about it! Pick a time when you aren't to aggravated - give them a call, be nice and civilized. Or if you mail them be sure to proof read it (or better have someone else to do that). I usually still do that nowadays with official letters - as has been said before - nothing worse than stupid typing errors in documents which should be professional looking!
I even use (online) dictionaries when posting here as english isn't my first language! If you look for one - try: http://www.alphadictionary.com/langdir.html !
So - good luck - and keep us posted!
