Gulf air lifestyle/T&C's

Hello to everyone in this forum ,
I would appreciate any info on take home pay at Gulf air , lifestyle , living standards etc .
I am not type rated on their aircraft , but I am looking for a change from B737
loco flying in the UK/Europe .
I have read ppjn.com and their website , however , how do they determine direct entry/cadet , bearing in mind I have approx 2500hrs on B737 .
Again any info would be appreciated .

Gulf Air

You will find GF like any other airlines that come with goods and bads. It all depends on what do >> YOU << want from life.

The pay is 1,443 ($3,823 USD) Bahraini Dinars as base plus housing, Utilities, x-portation, tele-communication, schooling, over time, perdiems. as a new joiner you can plan on 2,300 ($6,100 USD) to 2,800 BD ($7,420 USD) per month.

One big problem that guys are facing in Bahrain is the housing. the allowance is not enough to get a place to expat's standards. be ready to put some extra rent from your own pocket.

The key to get an interview is (off course your types, hours, education, expr) when you submit your application on line. all applications are screened by a company based in Dubai, they will score your application and then HR department from GF will select the ones with 100% marks. They start from the top and pick the first 20-30 applicants with 100% mark (that number is depends on how many they want to interview). you have to plan it right otherwise you won't get a call even if you have tons of hours on their type. Once they advertise on GF site you have to get your application in within the first few days if not you will be down the list and you may not get a call.

You can get ready for the interview well in advance by studding lots of psychometrics exams. They use SHL exams. math, verbal reasoning, orientation, etc...... try www.shl.com they have few on line test samples that will give you an idea as to where to start.

I hope the above info helps

Good Luck

Hi there,
BusTie, it's a good description of GF, except from the salary.
2300-2800 Dinars is not realistic by far. I wished we had this income!
For the past 12 months, I made an average of 1987,5 BD. Gross.
Including overtime, about 300 BD and 15 days I've sold from my leave bank. So, take 1500 out of this equation if you want.
Typical duty time is between 300 and 400 BD.
Cheers.

Thumbs up Gf T's&C's

Cheers Bus Tie ,
It is interesting to compare Gulf Air to Qatar .
Again housing appears to be the financial issue in both areas .
Thanks for the helpful info .
