Got Terminated From Qr
HI GUY
i got terminated from QR,is there any one who has solid information regarding this kind of cases(termination),os there any chance for me to apply for EK OR EY?how will be their reaction?
do i need to wait 6 or 12 month before i apply there?
looking forward to hear from u guys out there.

Are you really serious dashti!!! Why would any airline accept a terminated pilot. Doesn’t the termination suggest a problem, especially if one is terminated for a good reason. If there was a miscarriage of justice in the termination, then there might be a chance with another airline. I had worked for KU for many years. Termination was treated with a lot of suspicion even if it was a miscarriage of justice. The good old `wasta’ was the only one that worked. In the ME, the rule of law is a joke. Even if one had committed a serious offence, wasta will get you off the hook!

Oh well, sorry for the assumption. Nevertheless, what I said still stands no matter who you are. I infact got sick of the whole madness in the ME and took a hike. Get out that mad hole/sandpit, mate. Don`t sell your dignity!

MASrenger, Although I agree with you in principle, this is Qatar Airways we are talking about who sack people for little or no reasons!!! This is the airline that sacked a Captain because he refused to allow a sheik carry a dagger on board!!!! Now I dont see anything wrong with the captain in this incident!

I absolutely agree with you apaddyinuk. A dagger is a dangerous weapon & should not be allowed on board in any part of the world, more so in the ME where there is no limit to madness, absurdity, hypocrisy & the list goes on. One just cannot predict what this sheik might do, & not too long ago this very sheik was roaming the desert. With all those instincts very much alive in him, who is to say when he`ll go berserk! I also remember vividly, the Arabs have very low flash point. Man…. have I seen visual displays & boxing matches on highways in broad daylight!
I concur with the Captain`s decision & exactly my sand too. Btw, how did this mad man get by security. Ohhh….I forget, it the old wasta at play again.

Just to check the story I've heard - the captain did not get sacked but they did take him of the flight and replaced him with a "YES SIR!" captain, and he also received a warning letter. Is the sacking or the warning version true?

Well A300man, I shall be taking my beautiful Boeing down your way on Tuesday and it shall be dumping me there for 24 hours!!! I shall be searching all passenegers personally on departure for daggers!!!
