Doha simulator training

Seems Qatar Airways are moving into the old Gulf Air Simulator building next to Gulf Helicopters at the heliport.
Noticed the Advert in Flight for a simulator instructor? Qatar Airways seem to be a low salary, low allowance and by definition low quality company. Not the package one would have expected from a five Star Airline??

Hi Qatari515

The information regarding the simulator was passed on by a Qatar Airways chap I met at London Heathrow during a transit stop last week. The add was in a Flight Mag I looked at in the LHR book shop on my out, as is usual checking the jobs in the back pages then replacing on the shelf. The pay was around 25,000 QRs per month including housing allowance; the chap from QA said you needed around 10,000 QRs per month for a decent house so not much left over? I felt the package was low after accommodation costs had been taken into account for the experience; responsibility and qualifications normally required for the position.
I must admit I was on a fishing trip to see what the response would be, as I would have expected to see a better salary and accommodation allowance structure from a high profile company like Qatar Airways. However if I do find the add again I will post on information.

Outhouse.
