MD80 operators

I would like to know what companies are operating the MD 80 in the Middle East.

Saudi Arabian is really the only carrier I know of flying the -80/-90. If you dont mind Africa, AMC in Egypt flies them as well.

Cool

Saudia has about 30 MD-90's.

Kuwait Gov has a MD-83.

Can't think of any more.

Are there any expats working for Saudi on the 80 out there. I would like to know how the job is and what the terms and conditions are.

lownslow,

Did you first try applying at Air Canada they will be hiring like crazy soon. Almost everyone that applies is guaranteed an interview. I think you should first wait till all of your options fail before you rush out to Saudia Arabia, only go there if you really cant find anything else in the world. Good luck!

I did, but my 8000+ hours are in the cockpit looking out at North America and Europe and not in a classroom listening to a prof.

Saudia presently have 100 expat flightcrew, they are seeking 90 more in 2006. Check out their website for details.
