Thanks KunnDize Wanty's Post on Arrogant Pilots would not be allowed by 4 Holerpoler.

I feel very secure knowing that the Machine Minders are keeping it all together!

HAECO is a 2 year contract HK$55k + HK$9.5k rent allowance a monthy + 12% and of contract gratuity. Income tax 16%. I believe they will also contribute towards schooling. So all in at current exchange rate 64k UK Pounds a year (if you live within the rent allowance).

Recruiting B1 & B2 Engineers with relevant approval. Bit of a heavy workload though, same $hit different company.

Not 100% sure of pay for SIA, although Milcom are recruiting for them as are a few UK contract agencys. Last i heard was an 'all in" of US$11k a month, again roughly comes 78k UK pounds a year, with your accom to come out.

Just got back for a long break. Last night went out for a couple of beers with one of my mates who is a 744 Capt. in MAS. He confirms the 25% pay rise. He told me he now gets USD9000/-.

Updates on the story so far......

Apparently there have been quite a few promotions in the Engineering department after the MAS incident! Looks like management are trying hard to get their act together!! Although they're still looking out for more Engineers!!

And as for PolerHoler4:

"Anyone Know how to use a sine bar?
How Many Licenced Engineers have served an Apprenticeship and have Indentures?"

Almost all the Engineers I know have served an apprenticeship and had indentures!!

MASsenger,

That 744 skipper is counting the chicks before they hatch. Bottom line is the deal have yet to be signed. Once they get their RM in the bank, we can have free "nasi lemak" and "teh tarik" at the mamak stall.

4HolersPolers...Wouldn't let him loose to do anything..but thats where we rely on our safety nets and manage to keep everything in check! Few bad apples are bound to ruin the rep but the rest make it better!!

Coolcaper it would be great if some of the "Bad Apples" would quit but the rot has set in and they know if they went else where they would not last 5 mins!
