The Indians aren't that silly. They'll find a way of making money. What they need is the support of the Government they have the moment and that of future ones. They have the people (numbers) and their target is to have many people to travel by air rather than their other old transport systems.
Mentalities in DEL have to change immediately.

India

The success of all those indians LLC and new carriers will deppend on the success on the indian economy. If economy is good, it will mean more middle class around the country willing to pay the ticket. Right now it looks that the goverment is doing a good job. I think that new middle class is what all those new carriers are targeting. If in a future, the country economy works, and india manage to transform 20 percent of the country population to middle class that is 200 million posible passengers for low cost carries. Nice market.

A)I understand that the 5 year restriction is going to go
B)Some of the airlines are going to come out with large public issues and good news always helps . Later who cares.
