Any body starting his training in April?
how long before flying, line training hours???
any information about the "very begining" with Emirates, how does it look???

1. 2-3 days collecting paperwork, key to your apartment/villa and getting introductions to flight ops etc.
2. about 4 weeks conversion, ETOPS, LOW VIS, LIDO (flightplans) etc. groundschool
3. about 3 weeks simulator
4. about 5-7 weeks line training, usually around 20+ sectors ,70-80 hours.

You forgot to mention that during the first three weeks you also get to run around town getting your family visa, liquor license, driver's license, furnishings for apartment, bank account, uniform, etc, etc, ad nauseum.

Depends, if a Sheikh pops his clogs, its Ramadan, Eid etc, etc... You will get BIG delays to all the above!!! The like their public hols out here....

Patience is a great virtue in the sandpit

The resident visa is the biggy, once you have that life does get easier.
