Restriction for joining other airlines

Hello everyone,

Is this true that there is a contract between middle east airlines that they will not accept the employees of each other, unless the person has resigned ?

Regards,

As far as Im aware its only Qatar airways staff that cannot work for another Gulf Carrier after they have left QR. They have to be left QR 6 months to 1 year before another airline can take them on. All this is because the ****ty CEO at QR.

No, Etihad dont take QR staff or Gulf staff, but do take EK staff, so you just got to pick the right ones i guess. Etihad, Gulf and Qatar are all from the same starting place I suppose.

If Etihad take staff from QR, the QR CEO threatened to take away the lucrative GAMCO contract.

The fact of the matter is, he and his HR Dept should try to improve things so that QR staff do not want to leave - rather than impose some childish embargo.

on the other hand,EK is a wonderful airline to work for. my friends at EK ,say Recently a crew member was asked to resign (not fired) for very valid reasons.but EK "Did that extra mile" to look for a "flying Job" for crew member concerned, with another carrier in the region.

...And over here at QR what do we get??...Just 24 hours to pack up and buzz off!!
