Life in AUH

Can anyone inform me on what life is like in AUH? Are there lots of things to do? Nightlife? Where to go? etc etc.

Thanks

john

Use the search function. Many previous threads have covered this. Lots of info there.

However, in a few words Abu Dhabi is not too bad particularly if you like living in a city. Things to suit most tastes, bars, nightclubs, restaurants (though no where near as many as Dubai), and the whole range of activities and shops that most modern cities provide. Accommodation expensive. Taxis cheap.

If you need specific info not given in other threads pm me.

And you'll also find Borat probably lives around these parts too.

Steer clear of Al Ain though. Get's a bit rough out there from time to time....

How do you say "100 dirhams only" in Kazak speak?

I may be terribly dense today but I cannot see where Khazakstan comes into the picture.

Will someone enlighten me?

Venture into some of the questionable establishments (loosely called pubs!) in AUH and all will be revealed......

Wandrinabout shouldn't you be fluffing up your sock drawer and cleaning out the kitty litter!

And as for Al Ain being a dangerous place....only if you run into a team of angry netball players who's captain's name is "Bob!"

Fox3,
I get the picture - that explains a lot of what I saw in the Harvester a couple of weeks ago...............

And I thought netball was a non-contact sport.

Maybe punishment for not sharing the spoils around........

Roar...!!!

Thanks. All is now clear!

Must learn to think laterally! (Though 'thinking' is not something actively encouraged in this neck of the woods. 'Brain in neutral and take the money every month' is more in order - but I digress.)
