Any Middle Eastern Carriers Hiring Americans?
Hello,
I've got my B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering. Five years experience as an aerospace engineer, US FAA ATPL, 1540 Total, 140 multi. Looking to go to the Middle East.
Anyone know if I can get in? Anyone know of any contacts?
Would appreciate your help.
thank you.

Yes most carriers/operators here do hire Americans, however you will find that they require a type rating in the type of aircraft they operate, and substantial time on type as well...sorry for the disappointing reply

With your times, I'd go to the caribbean. Maybe being American, you can get the jobs in St. thomas and Puerto Rico that the Europeans and Canadians can't get.
Try also some of the scuzzy air taxi operators. The Terminal in San Juan has a row of small operators in the terminal where you will find all kinds of jobs. An american passport is a Huuuge advantage there.
Try Eagle also.
Cheers
Rosbif.
