JAA Class 1 in USA ?
 

Does anyone know if you can get an initial JAA class 1 medical in the USA ?

probably not . . . . .
 

There might be some fairly uncommon circumstance where this could happen ( eg recently ex-military, or conversion from an FAA class 1),
but in general I'd be 99.9% certain that the answer to your question is "no".
Considering that this is 2008, and also considering that we are ALL homo sapiens (medical things should therefore be universal) , the levels of agreement and cooperation between the FAA and the JAA really are outrageous and abysmal, in many areas, medical being only one !

As AMEandPPL already said, I am 99.9% certain that the answer to your question would be 'no'.
