Sinus problem ?
I have been asked by a good friend of mine to ask if you have any advice for her. She suffers excruciating pain, just above her brow, when flying ; usually in the descent, and thinks it could be a sinus problem ; she has no other symptoms and it only happens when she's flying. She has tried ear plugs which offer some relief but wondered if there's anything else she could try.
Many thanks.

NON-MEDICAL COMMENT: Maybe a Black and Decker or 6" nail up each nostril for your 'friend'
Sounds like sinus problems to me, but may be caused by a variety of things, including infections, past damage, allergies, etc. Suggest she goes to see the men in the white coats first before getting to hot and bothered.

Could try a nasal steroid spray such as beconase or flixonase for a week or two beforehand to unblock things, or ebven a combined steroid / decongestant combo such as dexa-rhinaspray. Anyway, she needs to see a quack of some sort.
