EASA initial Class 1

Dear colleagues,

I currently hold an unrestricted ICAO Class 1 medical and next year will be joining an European airline, thus making necessary the issuance of an EASA Class 1.
My ATPL will be validated (initially) by the Irish CAA and according to the literature I have been able to consult, it is mandatory to do my initial Class 1 at a medical centre in Ireland.
At this time I am trying to confirm this and check if I can make the initial outside Ireland (let's say in the UK or any other EASA country) provided the medical centre does it on behalf of the Irish CAA medical branch. Any recommendations?

No problem at all to travel to Ireland, as I am already in touch with a clinic there, but I would like to verify other options.

Thanks in advance,
BF
