Question Class 1 with Peanut allergy

Hi all,

There isn't much else here on this topic from recent years, and so I though't id make an updated post to see if anybody could advise please...
I currently hold a PPL and class 2 medical. I have a peanut allergy and have had only minor reactions in the past (resolved with anti-histamine), with no need for an epipen prescription ever arising.
My AME was aware of this upon class 2 issue and had no problems with signing me off.

Recently I applied for an initial class 1 medical, and as expected, was referred to a CAA immunologist due to the intolerance.
They requested some blood tests, and advised the risk would be negligible if I were only reactive to protein number 8 within the peanut, which my history suggested would be the case.
Yesterday I received the results of this test that unfortunately shows I am reactive to proteins 2 and 6, which are classed as more serious.
This hasn't been communicated back to the CAA at this moment and I'm yet to hear any official conclusion from them, however I assume it will mean an OML restriction, or perhaps even refusal for class 1 due to the risk of a severe reaction.

This does impact the type of flying I am able to pursue in the future, if any, and hinders all plans of single pilot ops.
Has anybody had experience flying with an OML due to peanut allergy, or even better - does anybody have a minor allergy and a full class 1 certificate?

Thankfully I have a secure job in aviation maintenance but have been pretty disheartened by the findings as I've always wanted to fly commercially.
Thanks in advance for any responses!
