2 Week Grounding with Medication Change

I have taken a small dosage of Beta Blocker (5mg) for over a year. 2.5mg in morning and 2.5mg in the evening.

My doctor now wants to slightly increase this to 7.5mg daily - 5mg in the morning and 2.5mg in the evening.

My AME is away and just looking for a quick answer - I can only find a CAA Document which suggests 72 hour self-removal from flying but a colleagues suggests that it is 14 days for any new meds or change of dosage ?

Correct

In addition you need to notify your AME so you have to wait until his return

Daft for something this minor but it is a blanket rule
