Overthinking this?

Advice welcomed, I have browsed every aspect of this forum and can't find anything specifically similar to my question. So hopefully someone can help and maybe this can help other folks reading in future also.

I am about to attend a centre to complete a EASA class 1 medical. My question relates to this newer 'mental health Questionnaire' in which you and the AME complete/review.

I have fortunately never had any mental health disorders or conditions etc, however I notice on the form it has questions relating to more general vague stuff (yes or no tickboxes albeit)..A question that troubles my logical thinking at the moment is one about "Eating or Weight changes" and "Sleep problems".

These two questions are almost too vague.

I once visited a doctor when I was trying to put some more weight on for a job and had my thyroid levels checked by a specialist, this all turned out to be nothing wrong other than a poor diet plan and too much regular exercise. Hence my weight loss and my doctor reports never mention anything other than needing to eat a better diet.

Is this relevant to this question? I understand it's regarding weight, but surely my circumstances are different from that of a mental health cause in respect to this questionnaire.

If I tick yes to the "weight or diet changes" box or the "sleep problems" box for example due to a physical medical reason eg. Period of pain from a broken bone, as opposed to a mental health concern would this be relevant.

I am inclined to think I can perhaps tick no to these, but still declare to AME what I described above?

Please let me know your thoughts on what you folks would be doing for this type of questions.

Edit: I also note a question on the same column relating to "Alcohol and pyscoactive substances"......surely most folks will have to tick yes to this regarding the "alcohol" aspect...i.e most folks have had or have a drink!!

For reference the forum in question is one by the Maltese authority.

Thanks

You're overthinking it. Only include things if you know them to be a problem. Assuming you want a medical...
