Jaw surgery

Hello everyone,
Has anyone gone through jaw surgery with a class 1 medical? I have a visit with my AME next week, however Im wondering if anyone here has gone through this surgery and what happened to your class 1? Did they suspend it and if so, for how long? I know I will have all this info from my AME next week, just getting a bit anxious as there is no info online about this. Couldnt really find anything that would disqualify me but not sure if they can suspend my class 1 just because I had surgery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
It depends what you mean by jaw surgery and why it was needed. Cancer or major trauma will need a referral and if you have an inherited condition that is associated with other issues such as the heart or eyes there will need to be further considerations, but if it was a dental procedure and there were no complications and it wasnt last week then I dont think there will be a problem
Good luck

In case anyone ever stumbles upon this thread looking for information- I visited my AME today. With a letter from my surgeon stating that I am healing well, in schedule, and there have been no complications, I have been cleared fit to fly 2.5 weeks post op. My surgery was due to my incorrect bite so it may be different if it was for more serious issues as mention above by radgirl.
