Creepy Chinese Pilot Medical 2018

Guys,

I'm a captain on the B737 NG with one of the middle eastern low-cost carriers, I was thinking to move to China and applied, after like 4 months they contacted me for interviews and medical and etc....
I did everything and everything was fine except one thing the MEDICAL! I was told by the doctor because my weight and cholesterol I am not fit for flying?! and I will not be a good pilot? what the heck!!!!

Guess how much is my BMI ? It's not 40 and 35, It's 31 and I passed all my EASA and GCAA after 20 years of flying and , according to my GCAA AME My Cholesterol is on normal limits ..

I read online today that they relaxed the medical requirements but requirements still are astronaut type...

China and India are very intolerant of weight and cholesterol.

BMI
18-25 Normal
25-30 Overweight
30-35 Obese I
35- 40 Obese II
40+ Obese III

You don’t say your cholesterol, but with the weight, I would suggest it’s no longer within target....
