Perforated eardrum - CAA class 1
Hi All,
I have a quite large perforated eardrum on my right ear which will not heal itself but need to have surgery to close it. Although, I find my hearing normal with some lost of hearing. I did hearing tests at specsavers and boots which puts me on or less then 35db requirements at 500hz, 1000hz and 3000hz. I am planning to go for Class 1 initial medical soon. Could you please advise if my condition of perforated eardum will prevent me to obtain class 1? Wheather this condition will puts me into some sort of a hear limitation with class 1?Thanks

Have the surgery first and then let nature take its course.
Your ENT consultant will need submit a report to the CAA saying everything is satisfactory.
Then have the medical........
