About Medical Flight Test for Class 1

Hi everyone,

I have a clarification to clear out about medical flight test:
1) Should one take medical flight test for class 1 after PPL or after CPL? (My feeling is after PPL as CPL requires Class 1 during the course. Please correct me if I am wrong.)

I was told by my AME that I am likely to fail Class 1 due to an uncorrected lazy eye. So, if I want to obtain a Class 1 medical, I must conduct a medical flight test to prove my airworthiness.

My underlying reason to ask this question is that lots of Airlines cadet pilot programs would not accept candidates that can't pass Class 1 medical. So, I want to obtain Class 1 before applying them to prove them that I can do the same thing others do. I will be very very appreciated for any inputs. Thanks a lot.

Cheers and have a good day.

I would consult a specialist in this field who is known to the regulator who can examine you and hopefully write a favourable report.
