Prostate.

Does anyone have any information on what treatments are acceptable for prostate problems, whilst retaining a Class 1 medical? Why in some instances do pilots lose their medicals after surgery, yet others get the Class 1 back very quickly?
Thanks.

Clearly you are implying prostate cancer.
Otherwise, why would there be surgery.
You need to learn more about the disease and how it can spread to vital organs.
Surgery may not stop the spred of the cancer.
Best thing to do is search the many excellent and educative websites on the subject, not pprune, and learn as much as you can about this disease. Then you will see why you may never fly again.
