EASA Medical Expiry
My Class 2 UK CAA EU Medical Cert expires on 16/02/14.
1. What date prior to 16/02/14 can I do a revalidation and still keep the same annual Expiry Date.
2. If I cannot do the revalidation on or before the 16/02/14, can I do a revalidation after that date and just do a normal Class 2 revalidation with no extra tests.

From the expiry date, and your age, the certificate must be an EASA class 2.
The "revalidation" period is 45 days prior to expiry. During that time your AME can renew your certificate, and your new expiry date will be 12 months after your current expiry.
If you let your current certificate expire, then the next medical will be a "renewal", and the certificate will expire 12 months after the date the medical is done. The actual examination items required are the same in either case.

Thanks Ulster.
I revalidated two years ago as you explained. However in doing so my AME and I got our dates mixed up.
My certificate now has an Class 2 expiry date of 24/03/2016 and a date of Last ECG of 24/01/2014.
Can I put off having my ECG until the 24/03 2016 without having to do a special (eg Stress) ECG. Bearing in mind I realise my licence will not be valid and I cannot fly until I have another Class 2 medical.
Thanks
