Since obesity is recently classified as a disease., will pilots risk losing their medicals. Especially since we have a lot of overweight pilots.

But usually obesity leads to other risk factors which might in long term compromise your health.

No because disease is not the problem. The problem is the risk of incapacitation or failure to carry out duties properly and safely.

So if ever my M.O. diagnoses me with the disease of obesity will he prescribe a prescription which consists of a piece of paper with, "eat less" written on it.
