CAA and Kidney stones - living abroad
CAA and Kidney stones - living abroad
UK PPL living in the US - postal address in the UK.
Kidney stone - stent - laser treatment - stent to be removed and hopefully the all clear this week.
According to the CAA flowchart need a Urologist assessment BEFORE treatment and CAA approval after treatment. Will the CAA take the word and documentation of my US doctors or failing that can a UK Urologist do the assessment with materials forwarded to him or will I have to have examinations (Ultrasound?) / bloodwork actually in the UK. Does EASA factor in (I saw one thread suggested anything now takes much longer).

The CAA is happy to get the documentation from your treating doctors (including imaging done locally) however with the introduction of the EASA Part Med the review of your case will need to be done by your AME not the CAA.
