Minimal focal central disk bulge

I was pushing a couch and my back started hurting really bad.
Got an MRI done and they said I had a Minimal focal central disk bulge on my L5andS1 my doctor said a ton of people suffer from this and that it's not a big deal. She told me to do some back exercises and it be cured in no time.
I turned in my doctors note to my company for the days I was off and now my chief pilot is making a huge deal about it. He said I need to be cleared by an AME. After two days my back pain went away, I didn't think it was a big deal.
Do I need to see an AME? I mean my pain is gone after two days in feeling like a 100000 bucks now.

What's your take?
