Initial JAR vs EASA Class 1 Medical Examination

Hello all,

I'm just about to book my initial class 1 medical.
Should I go for the JAR or the EASA?

The CAA tell me that they are the same price and are very similar, so in theory it boils down to whats the best title to have; JAR or EASA.. Any views on this?

Many thanks..

EASA medical certificates will be issued from 27th September and JAR medical certificate will not be issued anymore in the UK.

indeed, but I can either book now and get a JAR medical (prior to the 12 Sept) or wait till after the 17 Sept and get an EASA medical, so effectively I have a choice...
