Ear Infection(s)

I've been suffering with ear infections for the past few years, both ears. At peak times I got 1 - 2 a month... Last year none at all and last week a severe case. Now I've been at my ppl for the past 2 and a bit years, before that did some skydiving. Never had any effects (none that I know of), yet I have to look at all possibilities as I've had enough! Have been to 2 E,N & T specialists, one on NHS in the UK and one privately abroad (and of course several trips to the GP). Still no definite cause or solution found.

So I suppose my questions are: Any views on flying/altitude relation (I recall that it started before my first skydives) and secondly perhaps with any luck some good advice to stop them coming! They get a wee bit annoying..............

Thanks

In most cases (like the current one) it's both middle and inner ear.... Discharge is normally also present when they get severe. Sometimes my throat is also affected i.e. red/sore.
