Medical renewal due just after skills test

Would appreciate some advice on this matter....

I have my FI skills test scheduled for the 30th Jan, however I also have my class 1 medical renewal due on the 11th Feb.

Therefore I’m wondering if I could get away with sending my current medical off with all the paperwork for my FI license (Should I pass) or do I renew my medical first and then send the new document away with the paperwork.

Would prefer to send the current medical away with the old one because the doctor who does my renewal is not available for a while.

Any advice on the issue would be much appreciated.

Send the medical that was in place when you did the skills test (and indeed was required to allow you to do the skills test).

The fact that it expires 11 days later is kind of irrelevant but it might be prudent if you send all your paperwork away immediately, i.e. before the expiry date to keep everybody happy.

You can revalidate your medical up to 45 days prior to the expiration of your old certificate and retain the old renewal date.
