Anorexia and Flight
Good evening, I am writing to inquire on a question that has been bothering me for the past few months and I have been to afraid to ask the AME the question before I really need to.
Back in January I was hospitalized for Anorexia Nervosa, since then I have re-established a healthy weight and I am perfectly healthy otherwise. During treatment I never took any medication, so that rules out disqualification for that reason.
Does anyone know if this will effect me from getting my First Class Medical? I have been flying since 13, now 21 and don't want this to end my close by career? Thank you all.

Much will depend on severity of your condition, treatment required, current status and likelihood of recurrence/relapse. The only people who can tell you will be the CAA.
You can either ask your/an ame to contact them and ask on your behalf or contact them yourself.
Good luck.
