Cabin Crew and Bipolar
Hi,
A friend of mine who is cabin crew for a company I wont mention the name of, but is based in the UK... He has been diagnosed with bipolar 1, which is a mood disorder, and is currently taking medications which have successfully stabilized his moods. What I would like to know is: Is this a cause for a permanent disqualification from the aviation medical license? Does he need to tell his company, and will he lose his job over this?
Any insightful feedback is welcome!
