HOCM Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Does anyone here have any experience with a medical condition called HOCM (Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) and how quickly one can get their Class 1 reinstated by the UK CAA. I appreciate that if you pass the necessary tests you can only every fly multicrew, but if anyone has any experience of this and what is involved and timescales it would be much appreciated.
I was tested for it specifically a few years ago and the results were all clear, however the NHS recommend 5 yearly check ups and mine will be coming up next year so if it were to come back as "positive" I would like to know how long I may be grounded for, if of course I satisfy the further testing.
Thanks

Have you seen the algorithm on the CAA website?

Hope the tests prove to be negative.
