In Ireland we walk out of the medical examination with the JAR medical certificate.

Why are the CAA keeping you waiting ??

I got my certificate through in about 10 days. And it was just a tiny bit of paper!

For £400, I was half expecting some kind of detailed report on the state of my innards. But no, just a scrap of paper. I suppose I may have been a little naive.... Still, I was well chuffed to receive it! Before the dioptre regulations changed, I couldn't pass!
