Post Failure to pass Class1

Just a quick question for someone. I recently did the class 1 Med. and I am unable to pass it due to a condition known as "Kerataconu"! At least I think that`s how it is spelt! I`m wondering if the eyesight requirements to be an ATCO are similar to those in the Class 1 Medical for Aircrew?

Could you explain what it is?

Nav1,

I'm no opthalmogist, but are you sure that is the correct spelling:-

The nearest I know of is Keratitis which is inflammation of the cornea. I had this once after using Soft Contact lenses - I would repeatedly get this. Changing to hard/gas permeable solved the problem.

Nav1,

No I am afraid not, although I'm finding it difficult to understand the difference between that and Myopia in general, they sound very similar?

Good Luck
