Post Embarrassing Ailment!

I have a mild case of varicocoeles (varicose veins)in the left side of my scrotum. Does anyone know if this will prevent me getting my Class 1 certificate? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thumbs up

The doc at my initial class1 did give the old "cojones" a cursory inspection but I think that is for cancer.I would be very surprised and outraged if your doc denied you a class1 on these grounds alone. It is fair to say that they are not looking for the epitomy of human perfection, just someone who can operate an aircraft without endangering paying passengers. If I were you,I'd give them a call, after all the doc WILL spot your problem at the class one even if you don't tell him.The CAA medical department is one of the most helpful government departments I have ever come across, just be honest and I am pretty confident that you will get through.
Best of luck EL Cid
