class 1 medical eyesight requirement

Does stigmatism affect the ability to obtain a JAA/CAA Class 1 medical?
My eyesight is correctable with glasses.
I currently hold an americain class 2 medical
and JAA PPL.And would like more informartion on the eyesight requirement for the class 1 JAA/CAA Medical.Thanks....

No more than two dioptres of astigmatism are allowed, the astigmatic component adds to the myopic component, ie -2 astig and -1 myopia equals -3 which is a boarderline class one pass.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but will I pass a Class 1 medical if my eyesight is -3.5/-1 (miopic)?

Sorry but no you won't.

Don't despair though as it should take only a month or so of eye exercises to be within the -3 limit, (check out other threads by me and others on the subject.
