Question Class 1 Validity

Are class 1 renewels valid until the next year end of that month, or the next year to the day of the renewel? Or either? I was told that it might be valid until appropriate no. of years after initial issue. ie issued 13/7/99, renewed 5/7/00 now valid until 13/7/01 ?

Any ideas?

New jaa format medical, you can renew up to 45 days (I think) in advance and keep the same expiry date so medical expires 22/7/00 renew 25/6/00 medical valid till 22/7/01. But its only valid to the day and not to the end of the month.
Its a similar system with the LPC and OPC.

Thanks.

That's as I thought. It does however mean that our computerised reminder system at work is wrong! I shall have to infrom the IT boffins that it needs bringing in line with JAA as it could lead to a number of crew inadvertantly flying outside of thier licenses. Thanks once again.
