Question Class 1 EEG Take 2

I have been asked by the CAA medical department to return to Gatwick to carry out another EEG (Brainscan).

They have told me it is a common problem and is usually due to hard to read results.

They have asked me to take no sleep for around 12 hours proir to the EEG 1.00am - 13.00. Could any one please explain to me is this a usual occurance like I have been told and what exactly does it mean.

SB

I had a EEG some years ago and was asked some weeks later if I would like to come back for another one as the first one was 99% ok.

I did so and had no problem with the second. They explained that it could be that I was moving too much while they were doing the test. The fact that you have to sit still for 45mins isn't the most comfortable thing in the world especially when they flash a very irritating strobe in your face. I would say you will have no problem if you return. It's true that some have to repeat this test.
