Unhappy Perforated Eardrum.......?

Hi , guys, . . . . I'm due to embarked on a long haul flight on the 14th feb to the far east ,. . and im just getting over a bad cold ,! over the last couple of days ive noticed a deafness followed by a ringing and thirdly a blood discharge, not to mention the agony im in , in my right ear,

after visiting one of our hospitals , " ive been told , i have a perforated eardrum, for which ive been prescribed various antibiotics and nasel sprays ,and pain killlers, i just want to know " if any of you guys have come across this before within such a short time of traveling and lastly your opinion please on if i will be fit enough to travel ,

I think it would be best if call your AME with regards to you being fit to fly as only a Dr can advise on this. I suspect you wont be fit to fly though for a while <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> . .Hope you get better soon.

Ah, yeah, it hurt like bloody hell, didn't it.

This happened to me, also with a bad cold, when I flew back from Heathrow to Aberdeen one cold January day in 96.

Pain, pain and more pain, and blood out of my right ear.

Anyways, it healed up and there seems to be no damage. I've passed a hearing test since then, so chalk one up to the resilience of the human bod.

, no pain " just a little deafness followed by an Annoying ringing,
