PRK
FCAA cancel my PPL(A) license because I was PRK 09.06.1999. My left aye was little more than -5 dioptres.
My right aye was -5.15 cyl -0,88/90 Left -4,5. They say I can't fly anymore because here only law is JAR/JAA and there are rules -5 dioptres. I have been three ayedoctor and I have good vision (1.25). Before I have ICAO based license. I have been also AME doctor and he give me medical (class 2). He give me permission to fly but FCAA doctors and other FCAA people not. I tell FCAA that I don't want JAR-license, only old ICAO based license. They say absolutely not. If anybody have new information PRK limits from Jerez medical meeting 18-20.06 send mail to me...

JAR Fcl 3.005 covers transitional arrangements. Part 4 of the transitional arrangements states that existing holders of pilots licences issued by a JAA member state under their national regulations may continue to exercise the privileges of the national licence held, even if they cannot meet the requirements of JAR-FCL Part 3 (Medical).
You can read the exact wording on the JAA web site link below.
